B2B marketing across LBB and its group businesses
Location: London office, Monday to Friday, with UK-wide event travel, occasional overseas travel and some evening events
Reporting to: Commercial Director
Manages: Content Creator, plus external SEO, PR, video and creative suppliers
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Brands: LBB, London Belgravia Surveyors, BuildSafe, BuildwellAI and wider group businesses
ABOUT LBB
Established in 2015, LBB is a specialist construction insurance consultancy. We help housebuilders, developers, housing associations and contractors secure the right protection for their projects, advising across structural warranty, latent defects insurance (LDI), construction bonds and surety.
Our approach is advisory-led rather than transactional. We don’t simply place cover: we manage, guide and support projects from first enquiry through to final certificate, and that service is what keeps clients coming back.
LBB sits within a wider group that includes London Belgravia Surveyors, a specialist surveying practice providing technical inspections, and BuildwellAI, a technology platform focused on data-driven project insight.
THE ROLE
We’re looking for a commercially minded B2B Marketing Manager to take ownership of marketing across LBB and its sister businesses. You’ll pick up a fully costed twelve-month PR and marketing plan built around a deliberate shift: away from paid search and towards being present where developers actually make decisions. That means a national events calendar, hosted presence at flagship events, deal-led PR and thought leadership, targeted trade advertising, a regular video content programme and a strong LinkedIn presence.
Our experience is simple: relationships convert. Your job is to put LBB in the right rooms and the right titles, in front of decision-makers on projects of £1m build cost and above, and to prove what each channel delivers. It’s a hands‑on role in a growing business. One day you’ll be briefing a trade journalist or negotiating a media pack; the next you’ll be booking meetings ahead of a conference, cleaning up CRM data or building a campaign for one of our sister brands. For the right person, there’s a clear path to help lead how the business uses AI and data to find and win new work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy, planning and budget
- Own delivery of the annual PR and marketing plan and a six-figure budget across LBB and its group businesses, reporting to the Commercial Director and presenting progress to the leadership team.
- Manage every budget line against plan: request media packs and quotes, confirm costs before committing, and meet booking deadlines for key events and accommodation.
- Manage our SEO agency, our largest single marketing investment, holding it to account on enquiry quality and commercial return rather than traffic alone. Brief and manage PR, video and creative suppliers.
- Line-manage our Content Creator, setting priorities, standards and a publishing rhythm.
Brand and multi‑brand management
- Act as guardian of the LBB brand, applying our guidelines consistently across every touchpoint.
- Plan and deliver marketing for sister businesses, each with its own audience, proposition and tone, and bring our group differentiators (in‑house surveying, BuildwellAI and our after‑sales service) to the fore.
- Produce and maintain sales collateral, scaled to the events programme: brochures, product guides, case studies, proposals and event materials.
PR, content and thought leadership
- Build a steady pipeline of deal‑led PR: named schemes, project values and client quotes, with client consent and sign‑off managed properly, placed in housebuilding, construction, property and insurance trade titles.
- Lead policy‑facing thought leadership aimed at government, funders and regulators as well as industry, using our white paper programme as the anchor for PR, sponsored content and LinkedIn activity.
- Run a quarterly video programme of at least twelve films a year, plus short clips for social.
- Manage the LinkedIn company page and newsletter, coach colleagues to build effective, compliant personal profiles, and manage award entries, including client‑advocacy and recognition ideas.
Events and sponsorship
- Run a national calendar of conferences, awards and exhibitions, making sure each core audience (housebuilders, housing associations and registered providers, developers and contractors) and our introducer channels sre covered.
- Deliver flagship presence at events such as MIPIM and UKREiiF through hosted formats, such as client breakfasts and private roundtables, rather than exhibition stands.
- Support return on investment: pre‑book meetings, brief attending colleagues, capture leads and drive structured follow‑up through the CRM.
- Manage awards tables, our annual client events and trade body memberships, making full use of member access and networking opportunities.
Digital, CRM and campaigns
- Oversee the website and sister‑brand sites, focusing organic search on enquiries from the developers we want to work with rather than on volume.
- Plan and run CRM and email campaigns: segmenting audiences, nurturing prospects, and growing repeat business and referrals from past clients and introducers.
- Run always‑on and campaign‑burst LinkedIn advertising, and help consultants get the most from LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
Media buying and advertising
- Plan, negotiate and buy trade advertising and advertorial in titles such as Housebuilder, Show House and PBC Today, alongside LinkedIn and emerging AI search formats, timing placements for impact and tracking results.
Data, insight and compliance
- Introduce lead‑source attribution in the CRM, starting with “how did you hear about us” at first contact, so every channel, including PR and events, can be measured.
- Keep CRM data clean and report monthly on enquiries, conversion, project size and return by channel. Run an annual review that shapes the next year’s plan.
- Track competitor activity and market trends to sharpen our positioning and messaging.
- Make sure technical and factual claims are verified by the right specialists, and that all financial promotions follow our sign‑off process as an FCA Appointed Representative.
GROWING INTO AI AND DATA
The group is investing in technology, including through BuildwellAI, and we see real opportunity in using AI and data to sharpen how we find and win business. As the role develops, we’d like our Marketing Manager to help lead that work. That could include:
- Analysing enquiry data to understand which audiences, project sizes and channels convert, and steering spend accordingly.
- Building lead scoring, segmentation and data enrichment so we reach the right developers and contractors at the right moment.
- Drawing on project and market data, such as planning pipelines, to identify new opportunities for our consultants.
- Improving how LBB appears in AI‑powered search and answer engines.
- Using AI tools and automation to speed up research, content, campaign delivery and reporting, with the right quality and compliance checks in place.
- Working with BuildwellAI and the leadership team to turn data into commercial insight.
You don’t need to be a data scientist. Curiosity, an analytical mindset and an appetite to learn matter more than prior experience here.
