I’m recruiting for a Surveyor to join an established Estate Management team in Birmingham/ Manchester, working within a major occupier property management function.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to work with a fantastic team and build your career in property management, working on a large and geographically diverse portfolio. You’ll have regular client contact and work closely with landlords, agents and other property professionals, giving you broad exposure and the opportunity to develop your general surveying experience.

The role

You’ll be responsible for:

• Supporting the effective day-to-day management of the client portfolio
• Liaising with clients, landlords and agents
• Acting as an intermediary between landlord and tenant
• Identifying cost-saving opportunities for occupier clients
• Monitoring income collection and tenant liaison on sublet properties
• Ensuring compliance with lease terms and relevant property management legislation
• Transactional management such as rent reviews, lease renewals and disposals
• Building strong client and internal relationships
• Working alongside other property teams to deliver a joined-up service
• Supporting more junior colleagues where appropriate

What they’re looking for

• A property or estate management degree, or equivalent
• RICS membership or be working towards qualification
• Around 2 years’ experience
• Property management experience within a consultancy or corporate environment
• A good grounding across general surveying
• Up-to-date knowledge of property management legislation
• Strong communication and client relationship skills
• Experience with property management systems such as PROLEASE, TRAMPS or PM&A would be beneficial
