Finance Director – Specialist Lender

Finance Director | Consumer Lending | London, hybrid

Up to £190K plus equity | 3 days per week in office

A growing, FCA-authorised specialist lender is hiring a Finance Director to own and lead its finance function as the business prepares for IPO.

You will hold be accountable for financial reporting, controls and regulatory finance. You will lead five senior reports covering controllership, technical accounting, controls, tax and banking operations.

Responsibilities

• Financial integrity and reporting: close, statutory and regulatory reporting, accounting policy and the external audit relationship
• Tax: group tax strategy and compliance
• Funding and treasury support: group liquidity, plus funder and covenant data
• Controls, data and systems: a robust control framework and the finance systems roadmap
• IPO and corporate: IPO readiness
• Governance and people: Board and Audit Committee reporting. Leading and developing the finance team

You will bring

• A qualified accountant with 10+ years’ PQE and senior finance leadership experience
• Breadth across several finance disciplines
• A track record of growing finance teams in scale and capability
• Credibility with auditors, boards and senior stakeholders, and the ability to explain complex issues simply
• Experience in a regulated, Fintech environment
