Key responsibilities
• Driving an HGV Class 2 vehicle safely and responsibly • Completing planned deliveries and collections across the local area and wider UK • Loading, unloading and securing palletised goods • Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting any defects • Completing delivery paperwork and using relevant transport systems • Providing professional service to customers and site contacts • Following company, road safety and transport regulations
Skills and qualifications
• Valid Category C entitlement on a UK driving licence • Valid Driver CPC qualification and digital tachograph card • Previous HGV Class 2 driving experience preferred • Good knowledge of safe loading and vehicle checks • Reliable, punctual and able to work independently • Professional communication and customer service skills • Physically able to assist with loading and unloading duties • Good understanding of UK roads and delivery procedures
