Design Lead

Overview

In this role you will lead design delivery and governance across regional teams, driving quality and collaboration to meet project outcomes. You’ll oversee design execution, continuous improvement, and change management for design platforms, while growing your team and ensuring safety and client satisfaction. Responsibilities

• Manage design execution functions within the Western Australia and South Australia regional businesses
• Identify techniques to improve quality and enhance operational excellence
• Implement continuous improvement and manage revision control, lifecycle replacement, and changes to design software platforms
• Undertake recruitment, development, and succession planning for the team
• Foster a supportive and inclusive work environment and empower team members’ professional development
• Ensure delivery excellence across projects with high standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction

Key requirements

• Tertiary or vocational training in engineering design and drafting, or engineering technology
• Experience and certification in Autodesk suite (Advance Steel, Plant 3D, Civil 3D, Revit)
• Experience with Bentley Microstation
• Experience with Design Data Management platforms (Autodesk Vault, ProjectWise)
• Relevant team leadership and business leadership experience in consulting engineering within mining and/or industrial sectors
