FX Client Platforms – Senior UI Software Engineer (Vice President)

Overview

Senior Applications Developer focused on delivering pricing solutions for FX by building high-quality trading GUIs and shaping front-end architecture. You will lead UI development across globally distributed teams, drive interoperability standards, and integrate AI-assisted tooling to enhance delivery. The role emphasizes performance, real-time data delivery, and design system adoption within a large-scale front-end ecosystem. You will mentor engineers and collaborate with UX, Product, and Sales to translate requirements into robust solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop trading GUIs with strong user experiences for traders
• Enforce interoperability standards across web apps using FDC3 and REST/WebSocket APIs
• Work with OpenFin or Interop where applicable and advocate AI-assisted tooling
• Drive UI performance: profiling, rendering optimization, bundle analysis, low-latency data delivery
• Influence architecture decisions for large-scale front-end systems and design system adoption
• Champion TDD, code reviews, and AI-assisted development tooling
• Collaborate with UI leads, UX, Product, and Sales to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to delivery standards

Key requirements

• Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript, React, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6+)
• Experience profiling and optimizing high-throughput React apps
• Experience with desktop containers: Chromium, Electron, or OpenFin; familiarity with FDC3
• Experience with real-time messaging systems: Kafka, Solace, or Tibco
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or equivalent) and Agile methodologies
• Strong communication skills with globally distributed teams
