BMS Operations Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead the BMS Projects Division in London, overseeing delivery across multiple projects and driving performance, safety, and client satisfaction. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers and senior leaders to improve efficiency and support growth of the division. The position combines operational leadership with hands-on project governance to ensure on-time, on-budget outcomes and high quality standards. Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the BMS Projects Division to ensure timely, on-budget, high-quality delivery
• Lead and develop project managers and delivery teams to promote accountability and excellence
• Monitor project progress, financial performance, resources, and commercial risks across the portfolio
• Implement and maintain project management processes, governance and reporting
• Collaborate with senior management to shape operational strategies and support growth
• Build and sustain relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Oversee handovers from sales/estimation through delivery and completion
• Identify opportunities to boost productivity, profitability and delivery efficiency
• Support recruitment and workforce planning to scale the division
• Maintain health and safety, contractual compliance and quality assurance across projects

Key requirements

• Proven experience in BMS project management or operations, ideally in a senior leadership role
• Strong understanding of BMS project delivery (installation, commissioning, integration, handover)
• Experience managing multiple projects with budgets and financial performance
• Experience developing and mentoring project managers, engineers or multidisciplinary teams
• Knowledge of project governance, planning, resource management and risk mitigation
• Commercial awareness with ability to improve profitability and efficiency
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management with clients and senior management
