About the Role
Our client, a global leader in supply chain solutions, is seeking a highly experienced Senior International Logistics Manager for a fully remote position. This role is crucial for overseeing and optimizing the company’s international shipping operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of global freight movement, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, and driving cost efficiencies. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute international logistics strategies to optimize global supply chains.
- Manage relationships with international carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other third-party logistics providers.
- Ensure compliance with all international trade laws, customs regulations, and import/export requirements.
- Oversee the transportation of goods via air, sea, and land, managing timelines and costs effectively.
- Monitor and analyze international logistics performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving measures.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of international logistics professionals working remotely.
- Manage international logistics budgets and negotiate contracts with service providers.
- Stay abreast of global trade trends, geopolitical factors, and regulatory changes affecting international logistics.
- Implement and manage advanced logistics technologies and systems to enhance efficiency and visibility.
- Resolve complex international logistics challenges and ensure smooth transit of goods.
Requirements
- Extensive experience (7+ years) in international logistics management, with a strong focus on global supply chain operations.
- In-depth knowledge of international shipping modes, incoterms, customs procedures, and trade compliance.
- Proven experience in managing international logistics budgets and negotiating with global partners.
- Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in international logistics software, ERP systems, and advanced supply chain analytics tools.
- Ability to work autonomously and lead a remote team effectively.
- Strong understanding of risk management in global logistics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for managing diverse global stakeholders.
- Must have a reliable remote work setup, including high-speed internet access.
