Location: UK Remote-based, with attendance at our London office for team meetings, workshops, planning sessions and company events as required.
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Backend Developer to help build and scale the services, APIs and integrations that power our growing eProcurement SaaS platform.
This role plays a key part in connecting customers, suppliers and business systems through reliable, secure and high-performing backend solutions. You’ll work on complex integrations, modern cloud technologies and API-driven architectures that help streamline procurement processes and support business growth.
You’ll thrive in this role if you enjoy solving complex technical challenges, building scalable systems, and taking ownership of solutions from design through to deployment and ongoing improvement.
What you’ll be doing
- Design, develop and maintain high-performance backend services using C# and .NET
- Build and evolve secure, scalable RESTful APIs for customers, partners and internal platforms
- Develop integrations with ERP, procurement, finance, eCommerce and other third-party systems
- Deliver secure API connectivity using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect and token-based authentication
- Design resilient, scalable solutions capable of supporting high transaction volumes
- Develop event-driven and message-based integrations using modern architectural patterns
- Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes and implement sustainable improvements
- Contribute to technical design discussions, code reviews and engineering best practices
What we’re looking for
- Strong commercial experience developing applications with C# and .NET
- Proven experience designing, building and supporting RESTful APIs and system integrations
- Experience working within Agile software development environments
- Knowledge of API security, scalability and modern software engineering practices
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in a remote-first team environment
Nice to have
- Microsoft Azure development experience, including Functions, API Management, Service Bus and CI/CD automation
- Experience working with SaaS platforms and cloud-native architectures
- Knowledge of asynchronous messaging, event-driven or microservices architectures
- Experience integrating ERP, finance, procurement, hospitality, healthcare or eCommerce platforms
- Microsoft or Azure certifications
