Senior Opto-Mechanical Engineer (Contract) – Cambridge

Microsoft Research Cambridge is seeking a senior hands-on Mechanical Engineer to design, build, test, and refine precision mechanical systems for photonics and fibre-optic research. This contract role runs through Allegis Global Solutions (AGS) with external staffing partners; you will be employed by AGS.

You will prototype with 3D printing, machining, and alignment, collaborate with researchers, and ensure DFMA and rigorous hardware testing.
