In this Lab Manager role, you will lead the Analytical Services Department to deliver high-quality gas analysis and testing. You will drive laboratory operations, uphold UKAS/ISO 17025 compliance, and manage a team of analytical specialists. You will balance budget responsibilities with hands-on technical work in GC/FTIR and support across industrial, special, and medical gas segments. Responsibilities

• Lead the Analytical Services Department and oversee laboratory operations
• Ensure compliance with UKAS accreditation and ISO 17025 standards
• Manage a team of analytical specialists
• Control laboratory budgets and resources
• Deliver high-quality analytical testing and technical support for industrial, special, and medical gases

Key requirements

• Degree in Chemistry or equivalent
• Solid technical experience in gas analysis or measurement science
• Strong leadership experience
• Good understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 17025 and GMP
• Hands-on knowledge of Gas Chromatography (GC) and FTIR
