This is a non-hands-on management role. You’ll support colleagues with technical advice, manage field operatives and oversee projects from planning through to handover. You’ll work closely with the Head of Operations, Service Desk, Quotes Team and PPM Operations Manager.

What you’ll do

  • Provide technical advice to office teams and field operatives, helping resolve faults and identify practical solutions.
  • Support the Quotes Team with surveys, clear scopes of work and accurate information on labour, materials and access requirements.
  • Meet clients to discuss technical matters, investigate concerns and agree next steps.
  • Manage and coach field operatives, setting clear expectations for workmanship, productivity and communication.
  • Work with the Service Desk to plan jobs and routes efficiently, reducing avoidable travel and return visits.
  • Manage allocated projects, coordinating people and resources while monitoring cost, programme, quality and P&L performance.
  • Make sure work is planned and delivered safely, with appropriate competence, documentation and approvals.

What you’ll bring

  • Relevant experience in facilities management, commercial maintenance, refurbishment or construction.
  • A minimum HND-level qualification in a relevant sector discipline or relevant experience.
  • Strong operational understanding of facilities management or commercial maintenance, including P&L management.
  • Strong technical knowledge across multiple building trades or building services disciplines.
  • Experience managing field operatives, subcontractors and site activities.
  • Ability to diagnose defects, carry out surveys, support quotations and manage projects against budgets and quality standards.
  • Strong communication, planning and organisational skills, with a good understanding of health and safety.
  • Confident use of job management systems and Microsoft Office, plus a full UK driving licence.

Experience using Simpro or a similar system, or working with planned maintenance and SFG20, would be welcome. Additional trade, construction management, building services or health and safety qualifications would also be useful.

Employee benefits

  • Competitive salary based on experience.
  • Company vehicle/Car Allowance.
  • Company phone and laptop.
  • Pension.
  • Ongoing training and development.
  • Support from an established operational and management team.
  • Career development opportunities within a fast growing facilities management group.
