Apply for the Medical Science Liaison
Location: Leeds
Job Description:

Perfect role for a mid professional looking to grow their Healthcare career in Leeds.

Medical Science Liaison roles sit at the point where clinical evidence meets real-world practice, and that’s exactly where this one lives. The company is an established Healthcare SME that’s grown steadily on the strength of its scientific credibility rather than marketing noise. As it expands, it needs a Medical Science Liaison who can translate complex data into something clinicians actually find useful.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals across your therapeutic area
  • Communicate clinical and scientific data accurately, whether that’s in a one-to-one meeting or a conference hall
  • Support clinical trial activity, from identifying investigators to helping with study feasibility
  • Feed field insights back into the medical and commercial teams so strategy stays grounded in reality
  • Deliver scientific presentations and training sessions that hold up to scrutiny from experienced clinicians
  • Keep on top of the evolving evidence base and regulatory landscape relevant to the role

Here are the skills you’ll need:

  • A life sciences degree, PhD, PharmD or clinical background (nursing, pharmacy or medicine all work)
  • Experience in a Medical Science Liaison, clinical or medical affairs role within Healthcare
  • Strong scientific communication skills. You need to be equally credible with a consultant and a commercial director
  • Comfort working independently while managing a remote, often unpredictable diary
  • Sound understanding of ABPI code and the compliance framework around medical affairs
  • A full driving licence, since field travel is part of the job

Key perks and benefits:

  • £39,500 to £54,500 depending on experience
  • Bonus scheme on top of base salary
  • Private medical insurance and pension contribution
  • Remote working arrangement, with flexibility built into how you structure your week
  • Generous annual leave and genuine investment in your professional development

Why pursue a career in Healthcare?

Healthcare doesn’t stand still. New treatments, new evidence, new ways of working with the NHS all keep the field moving, and that means genuine progression for people who put the work in. Leeds has become a real hub for Healthcare and life sciences activity in the north, so basing a Medical Science Liaison role there makes practical sense as well as professional sense. Good people in this field tend to build long, varied careers rather than plateauing after a few years.

This Medical Science Liaison opportunity is brought to you by The Opportunity Hub UK.
