Veritas Education is recruiting a Year 2 Class Teacher for a primary school in Blackburn, starting in January 2027 on a one-year fixed-term contract.
This is an opportunity to guide pupils through an important stage in their learning, building their confidence, independence and readiness for Key Stage 2.
The role
Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Year 2 curriculum.
Strengthen pupils’ foundations in reading, writing and mathematics.
Use assessment to identify gaps, target support and challenge learners.
Create a positive, inclusive classroom with clear routines and high expectations.
Build strong relationships with parents, carers and colleagues.
The ideal candidate will have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
A sound understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and Year 2 expectations.
Effective classroom management and an engaging teaching style.
The ability to adapt lessons for pupils with a range of needs.
A commitment to safeguarding and helping every child succeed.
