Healthcare Assistant – Private clinic Rochdale

Patient Care and Reception

• Greet patients on arrival in a friendly, professional, and reassuring manner
• Check patients in for their scheduled appointments
• Respond to patient queries received via the email inbox
• Answer incoming telephone calls and handle patient enquiries appropriately, escalating where necessary

Clinical and Procedural Duties

• Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, including CT and MRI, ensuring patients understand what to expect
• Provide phlebotomy services / undertake training for, taking blood samples as required
• Perform cannulation for patients where clinically required
• Assist the radiographer with patient positioning during scanning procedures
• Monitor patient comfort and wellbeing throughout procedures

Clinic Environment

• Maintain a clean, safe, and tidy clinical environment at all times
• Ensure clinical areas and equipment are prepared appropriately between patients
• Adhere to infection control, health and safety, and clinical governance policies

General

• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with data protection requirements at all times
• Work collaboratively as part of the wider clinical and administrative team
• Participate in mandatory training and continuing professional development
• Undertake any other duties commensurate with the role as required
