Service / Diagnostic Technician – Peterborough

We are recruiting for an experienced Service Technician, Diagnostic Technician, Vehicle Technician or Automotive Technician to join a busy main dealership in Peterborough. Applicants must hold a Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, have relevant technical experience, hold a Full UK Driving Licence and have the right to work in the UK. A recognised Diagnostic qualification is required for Diagnostic Technician applicants.

Location: Peterborough

Hours: 45 hours per week, including weekends on a rota

Service / Diagnostic Technician Role

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs to a high standard
• Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical and electronic faults using specialist diagnostic equipment
• Complete warranty and repair work efficiently and accurately
• Carry out electric vehicle work where appropriately qualified
• Complete hydraulic repairs safely and in line with required standards
• Support Apprentice Technicians with their technical development where required
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety and workshop efficiency

Service / Diagnostic Technician Requirements

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
• Previous experience as a Service Technician, Diagnostic Technician, Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician or Motor Vehicle Technician
• Recognised Diagnostic qualification required for Diagnostic Technician applicants
• Strong diagnostic, fault-finding, servicing and repair skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Right to work in the UK
