Optegra Eye Health Care is looking for experienced Receptionists and Patient Administrators to join our NHS insourcing team at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee.

This is an excellent opportunity to work flexible weekend sessions, supporting the delivery of high-volume cataract assessment clinics, cataract surgery and day-case services, helping to reduce NHS patient waiting times.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and check in patients attending cataract assessment clinics and surgical appointments.
• Support pre-operative admissions and post-operative discharge administration.
• Liaise with clinical teams to support efficient patient flow.
• Maintain accurate patient attendance records and administrative documentation.
• Handle patient enquiries professionally and sensitively.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to NHS Tayside policies and information governance requirements.
• Support the smooth running of busy weekend ophthalmology services.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous NHS or healthcare reception/administration experience preferred.
• Experience working within outpatient clinics, hospital admissions or day-case services would be advantageous.
• Excellent communication, organisational and customer service skills.
• Good IT skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work confidently within a busy clinical environment.
• Willingness to complete all required compliance and onboarding checks.

Previous experience within NHS insourcing or ophthalmology services would be advantageous.
