Pure Staff are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver to work with one of our long-standing clients based in the Hereford area. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver looking for ongoing work, excellent rates of pay and the opportunity to work with a highly respected transport operation.Our client is a leading UK transport and logistics business, providing nationwide distribution solutions across multiple sectors and operating one of the country’s most recognised transport networks.
Pay Rates
PAYE
Monday to Friday: £17.50 per hourSaturday: £19.25 per hourSunday / Bank Holiday: £21.00 per hour
PAYE with Rolled-Up Holiday Pay
Monday to Friday: £19.61 per hourSaturday: £21.57 per hourSunday / Bank Holiday: £23.53 per hourRolled-up holiday pay is available as an optional payment arrangement, allowing drivers to receive their holiday entitlement within their hourly rate.
The Role
As a HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver , you will be completing nationwide deliveries of alcoholic beverages to RDCs, wholesalers and customer depots across the UK.Typical duties include:Nationwide Class 1 tramping workDelivering palletised alcoholic beverage productsCompleting deliveries to RDCs, distribution hubs and customer depotsCarrying out daily vehicle checksEnsuring loads are secured correctlyCompleting PODs and delivery paperwork accuratelyFollowing driver hours and working time regulationsMaintaining a professional image whilst representing the businessMost loads are forklift loaded and unloaded, meaning there is minimal physical work involved.

Monday to Sunday operationTypical start times between 05:00 and 08:00Average shifts of 8-10 hours4-5 nights out per weekWeekend work availableOngoing assignments available
