Tyréns UK is strengthening its position in the data centre market and is seeking a Director-level Sector Lead with established industry relationships and a strong track record of converting those relationships into sustainable, profitable growth. This is a senior commercial leadership role with clear accountability for sales, order intake, revenue, margin and pipeline development.
Purpose of the role
The Sector Lead will build and lead an integrated Tyréns UK data centre proposition, bringing together the complementary expertise of Tyréns Hilson Moran and Tyréns AKT. The combined offer spans power and utilities, MEP engineering, structural and civil engineering, sustainability, environmental planning, embodied carbon, infrastructure, technical due diligence, refurbishment and operational optimisation.
The role will position Tyréns UK as a strategic adviser across the full data centre lifecycle, from site selection, capacity enablement and early feasibility through design, delivery, refurbishment and operation. By connecting multidisciplinary expertise, the Sector Lead will help clients address power, planning, environmental, infrastructure and engineering constraints early enough to improve investment and delivery decisions.
This is primarily a commercial and relationship-led role rather than a hands‑on design position. The successful candidate will nevertheless bring sufficient delivery experience in a relevant specialist discipline to engage credibly with clients and technical teams. THM’s portfolio includes work for IBM, Global Switch, the Bank of England and BCS across new‑build and refurbishment projects, providing a strong platform from which to grow in the colocation and hyperscale markets.

Capability and team development
- Build a collaborative UK data centre community with clear priorities, shared market intelligence and consistent client messaging.
- Support recruitment, succession planning and the development of colleagues from adjacent sectors as the practice grows.

- A current, active network across the data centre ecosystem, including developers, investors, operators, hyperscale occupiers, colocation providers and strategic delivery partners.
- A demonstrable record of achieving sales and growth targets, winning work, growing key accounts and sustaining senior client relationships.
- Experience owning or materially contributing to annual business plans, sales forecasts, order intake, revenue and margin performance.
- Strong understanding of the data centre development lifecycle and current market dynamics, including power availability and grid connectivity as critical commercial constraints.
- Senior leadership experience at Director level within engineering, consulting or real estate advisory, or in a credible client‑side role.
