Head of US Tax (based in London, UK)

2-3 days per week in office

Central London-based international advisory and accounting firm is seeking an experienced US Tax professional to establish and lead a new US Tax department within its London office.

This is a senior appointment, albeit an individual contributor role, offering the opportunity to build and develop the firm’s UK-based US tax capability whilst supporting a growing international client base.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of the firm’s US Tax offering from the London office.
• Manage the preparation and review of US tax returns.
• Provide technical guidance on US personal and related tax matters.
• Build relationships with clients requiring US tax support.
• Work closely with the wider UK and US teams to deliver a seamless service.
• Support the growth and development of the department.

Requirements

• Qualified US Tax professional.
• Ideally Enrolled Agent (EA) qualified.
• Strong experience preparing US tax returns.
• Ability to lead a department and act as the senior technical contact.
• Experience working with US taxpayers and cross-border tax matters would be advantageous.
