As the organisation continues through a major period of IT transformation, you will have the opportunity to work across a broad range of business and technology areas including digital solutions, corporate systems, cloud platforms, data analytics and operational systems.As a Senior Business Analyst, you will support the analysis, design and delivery of major IT transformation initiatives. You will work closely with stakeholders across the business to gather and translate complex requirements into clear specifications, facilitate workshops, support solution design and ensure that business needs are effectively represented throughout the project lifecycle.You will also work closely with technical teams, third-party suppliers and strategic partners to develop effective solutions aligned with business objectives. The role will involve producing detailed requirements documentation, process maps, data flows and business specifications, as well as supporting change impact assessments and implementation planning.
The Person
- Minimum of 4 years’ relevant Business Analysis experience
- Strong experience in requirements gathering, analysis and documentation
- Experience producing business requirements and functional specifications
- Strong understanding of the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Experience facilitating requirements-gathering sessions and stakeholder workshops
- Experience with business process design and modelling
- Strong stakeholder engagement and management experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working across Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Strong understanding of governance, controls and oversight processes
- Experience identifying risks, gaps, dependencies and potential issues
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear and practical solutions
- Experience supporting solution design and assessing cross-system impacts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detailAbility to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Self-motivated and comfortable working within a fast-paced transformation environment
Desirable
- Experience working within the energy, utilities or infrastructure sectors
- Knowledge of technology solutions used within the energy sector
