We’re working with a highly successful, entrepreneurial business turning over approximately £50 million and established as one of the top three operators in its sector.
Following significant growth, the business is entering an exciting new chapter, with ambitious plans for expansion, diversification and acquisitions.
We’re looking for a commercially minded Finance Manager who wants more than just managing the numbers.
Working closely with a dynamic leadership team, you’ll take ownership of the internal finance function, lead a small established team and play an increasingly influential role in business performance and decision‑making.
The Opportunity
- Lead and develop an established finance team of two.
- Take ownership of financial controls, cash flow, budgeting and forecasting.
- Oversee month‑end processes, VAT, CIS, payroll and financial reporting.
- Work alongside external accountants to deliver meaningful management information.
- Improve financial systems, processes and reporting.
- Provide commercial insight into project profitability, margins and performance.
- Support future growth, acquisitions and business development.
About You
You’ll be a hands‑on, commercially aware finance professional who enjoys getting into the detail but can also see the bigger picture.
Ideally, you’ll bring experience from a construction, contracting, engineering or project‑led environment, with strong financial controls, reporting and forecasting skills.
You might currently be a Finance Manager, Management Accountant or Financial Controller looking for greater ownership and progression.
ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualifications would be advantageous, although strong qualified‑by‑experience candidates are equally welcome.
