Probation Officer Job Responsibilities
As a Probation Officer, you will be responsible for a diverse range of tasks designed to support offenders and ensure compliance with statutory requirements. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and supervising a caseload of offenders, including those with complex case histories
- Preparing and submitting parole reports
- Supervising MAPPA cases and attending relevant panel meetings
- Supporting the OMiC (Offender Management in Custody) initiatives
- Maintaining and updating OASys assessments
- Implementing new requirements under the Sentencing Act
- Ensuring effective case management and adherence to government policies and procedures
The ideal Probation Officer will possess all-round experience with handling demanding cases across the PDU. You will be capable of working independently while maintaining effective communication with colleagues and external agencies.
