Construction Contracts Manager

JCPS Mechanical is a mechanical services contractor based in Ballycoolin, Dublin 11. We install and maintain heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing and public health services on commercial, industrial, healthcare and residential projects across Ireland, with dedicated Maintenance and Renewables divisions.

Purpose of the role

Lead the delivery of JCPS Mechanical’s mechanical services package on the Airbus project in Belfast, from mobilisation through installation, testing and commissioning to handover, safely, on programme, to specification and within budget.

• Mobilise the project: set up the site team, logistics, welfare and the site-specific safety documentation
• Own the mechanical programme and align it with the main contractor’s master programme; chair weekly progress meetings
• Manage labour, sub-contractors and supplier deliveries to meet programme
• Control cost against budget: monthly valuations, cost-to-complete, variations and early warnings
• Manage RFIs, technical queries, submittals and the drawing register with the design team
• Ensure installations meet specification, NI building regulations and client quality requirements
• Lead testing, commissioning and the preparation of O&M manuals and handover files
• Act as the main point of contact for the client and main contractor
• Report weekly to JCPS management on progress, risk, cost and safety
• Minimum 5 years managing mechanical services packages on commercial or industrial projects
• Degree or HNC/HND in Building Services, Mechanical Engineering or similar (or equivalent experience)
• Strong commercial awareness: valuations, variations and cost reporting
• Proven ability to manage site teams and sub-contractors
• CSCS card (NI) or willingness to obtain one before start; SMSTS or equivalent
• Experience on aerospace, manufacturing or other live industrial sites
• Familiarity with BMS and process services interfaces
