A 0.4WTE/14.4hrs vacancy for a B8A Principal Clinical or Counselling Psychologist has arisen within Florence Street CMHT in the Gorbals area of South Glasgow.

You will join an experienced and dedicated multi-disciplinary team comprising Psychologists, Nurses, Occupational Therapists and Psychiatrists and deliver a high-quality Psychology Service to adults receiving secondary care mental health input from the Community Mental Health Team. You will contribute to the governance of the psychological practice of MDT colleagues in the team by providing supervision of their delivery of psychological interventions and will be line managed and supervised by the Consultant Clinical Psychologist and receive professional support and CPD opportunities from South Glasgow’s Adult Mental Health Psychology Department.

This part-time post may be attractive to Clinical or Counselling Psychologists who have a private practice or who work part-time elsewhere.

You will have a Doctorate in Clinical or Counselling Psychology and be HCPC registered as such, with experience in adult mental health, gained via training or post-qualification experience. You will be required to provide clinical placements to a range of trainees, including those undertaking the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology; therefore you’ll have completed, or be eligible for, formal training in the supervision of others that is recognised by the DClinPsy programme.
