Your Clinical Expertise Has a Career Beyond the Ward. What if you could use the clinical skills you’ve spent years developing — without another night shift?

We’re recruiting Clinical Assessors in Cambridge to use their professional knowledge in a different way, conducting telephone and face-to-face assessments on behalf of the DWP.

You’ll explore how health conditions and disabilities affect an individual’s daily life and functional ability, review medical evidence and produce clear, objective reports using your clinical judgement.

No previous assessor experience required — you’ll receive fully paid training.

  • Full-time & part-time positions available

  • Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm

  • No nights, weekends or bank holidays

  • Hybrid working

  • 12-week fully paid training programme

  • Salary progression and career development

  • Performance and quality bonus opportunities

  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays

  • Option to purchase additional annual leave

  • Up to 6% pension contribution

  • Employee discounts and wellbeing support

The Role

  • Conduct telephone and face-to-face assessments

  • Review medical evidence and supporting information

  • Understand how conditions affect daily activities and functional ability

  • Apply clinical reasoning and professional judgement

  • Produce accurate, objective and evidence-based reports

This is an assessment and report-writing role — not hands-on clinical care.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Registered Nurses

  • Occupational Therapists

  • Physiotherapists

You’ll need:

  • Active NMC or HCPC registration

  • At least 1 year of post-registration adult clinical experience

  • Strong communication and report-writing skills

  • Good IT skills

  • Confidence working independently

  • The ability to analyse complex clinical information

Full UK right to work required. Sponsorship is not available.

Ready to Use Your Clinical Skills Differently?

If you’re looking for structured hours, hybrid working, career progression and a clinical role without the traditional shift pattern, this could be the change you’ve been looking for.
