About Our Client

This role is within the retail industry, based in Derby as a Finance Manager. The Finance Manager position would suit someone who is a Management Accountant looking to step into a Managerial position or a current Finance Manager looking for a new challenge. This is a five days on site opportunity in Derby.

Job Description

• Manage the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• Monitor and manage cash flow effectively.
• Support the dealership team with financial insights and advice.
• Manage payroll processing and employee expenses.
• Work closely with external auditors during audits.
• Analyse financial data to identify trends and support decision-making.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Finance Manager should have:

• Professional accounting qualifications or equivalent experience in accounting and finance.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Experience in managing financial reporting and analysis within a commercial setting.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Good communication skills to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
