Children’s Social Worker Trafford – Responsibilities

• Assessing children and families to determine needs and appropriate interventions
• Developing and implementing safeguarding plans to ensure child safety
• Providing expert advice and support to families and external partners
• Managing a caseload efficiently, prioritising urgent cases
• Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to promote children’s welfare
• Maintaining accurate and detailed case records
• Contributing to team meetings and case reviews to improve service delivery

Candidate Profile and Skills

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in children’s social work
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures
• Excellent communication and assessment skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage a busy caseload
• Relevant qualifications as per JDPS requirements
• Current DBS and appropriate references
