Project Manager

Abacus Lighting Ltd is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Contracts team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, commercially aware project professional to take ownership of a varied portfolio of projects, from initial planning through to successful delivery. You’ll work closely with clients, internal departments, site teams and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and commercially.

The role will involve:

• Managing projects from inception through to completion.
• Coordinating resources, programmes, costs and subcontractors.
• Maintaining strong client relationships and communication.
• Monitoring project performance, budgets and commercial outcomes.
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, quality and contractual requirements.
• Coordinating and visiting site teams to achieve programme, quality and delivery objectives.
• Producing and reviewing detailed Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS) and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
• Planning and coordinating crane operations and complex lifting activities.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has proven project management experience within a construction, electrical and engineering or similar technical environment.
• Has strong organisational, leadership and communication skills.
• Understands project commercial management, cost control and programme delivery.
• Can manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and customer service.
• Can travel to customer sites across the UK.
• Has experience preparing complex RAMS and ITPs.
• Has experience planning and managing crane operations and complex lifts.
