Job Title: Childrens Residential Support Worker
Location: Bridgend, Bridgend County Borough, CF31 (South Wales)
Salary: £28,195 per annum
Employment Type: Permanent (Full-time, 42 hours per week)
We’re recruiting a Childrens Residential Support Worker to join a children’s residential service in Bridgend, Bridgend County Borough. This is a hands‑on role supporting children and young people with daily routines, safety, structure, and positive outcomes within a nurturing, trauma-informed environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting children and young people with routines, activities, and key working, promoting positive relationships and independence
- Maintaining a safe, consistent home environment, following care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures
- Completing accurate daily recordings and contributing to handovers, incident reports, and team communication
Requirements & Qualifications
- A genuine commitment to safeguarding and improving outcomes for children and young people
- Experience in a care/support setting (children’s residential experience is desirable)
- Flexibility to work a rolling rota including days, waking nights, and weekends (2 days / 2 nights / 4 off)
