We are looking for committed clinical support workers to join our team!

The Young People’s Unit (YPU) provides intensive inpatient assessment, care and treatment for young people (aged 12-18) from across the North of Scotland who are experiencing major psychiatric disorders. We offer a broad range of therapeutic interventions, including individual, group and family work. This regional inpatient service is provided in a purpose-built unit on the CAMHS site at 17 Dudhope Terrace, Dundee.

We recognise that some people interested in the opportunities provided by working in this exciting and challenging environment may have little experience in child and adolescent mental health services and therefore the unit will provide regular supervision and training to develop new skills.

If you want to contribute to this developing service, you care about young people with mental health problems and you think you are the kind of person who can be committed, reflective and a good team member, this is an ideal opportunity for you.

You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.

Informal enquiries to: Fiona Redpath, Senior Charge Nurse on (01382) 649031.

Hours of work: 36 per week (shift work). Part-time options may be available – please specify any request in your application.

If you are a current member of staff, please ensure you update your Jobtrain profile to reflect that you are employed by NHS Tayside.

NHS Scotland is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination. The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best.
