Job Description:

Flexible Sessions per Week | Working Across Two Practice Sites

Looking for a GP role that combines rewarding general practice, supportive team working and an enviable coastal lifestyle?

An Caorann Medical Practice is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed GP for upto 6 sessions per week, working across our two practice sites in the Portsoy area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a GP who enjoys the breadth and variety of general practice while being part of a supportive multidisciplinary team (MDT).

A Varied GP Role Across Two Sites

Working across our two sites provides variety while allowing you to remain part of one wider practice team.

We value continuity of care, collaborative working and creating an environment where our clinicians feel supported to deliver high-quality patient care.

Our multidisciplinary approach means that GPs work alongside other healthcare professionals, supporting patients to access the most appropriate member of the team and helping create a sustainable approach to clinical workload.

Develop Your Career With Us

We recognise that GPs increasingly want opportunities to develop their careers alongside their core general practice role.

We are keen to support continued professional development, additional training and areas of special clinical interest.

Whether you already have an established special interest or there is an area of medicine you would like to develop, we would be happy to explore how the practice can support your professional ambitions.

There will also be opportunities to become involved in clinical improvement, service development and the future direction of the practice.

Why Portsoy

For anyone considering a move to the area, Portsoy and the surrounding Banffshire coast offer an exceptional place to live and work.

Portsoy is a historic harbour village on Scotland’s beautiful north-east coast, surrounded by dramatic coastline, beaches and countryside. The area offers a fantastic outdoor lifestyle, with opportunities for coastal walks, cycling, watersports and exploring some of the many villages and communities along the Moray Firth.

It provides the opportunity to enjoy the space, scenery and community of coastal Aberdeenshire, while still having access to the wider towns and amenities across Aberdeenshire and Moray.

For families, couples or individuals looking for a different pace of life, the area offers an attractive combination of community, countryside and coast, alongside a professionally rewarding career in general practice.

There is something particularly rewarding about practising medicine within smaller communities. You have the opportunity to develop continuity with patients, understand the community you serve and see the difference that high-quality general practice can make.

  • Upto 6 GP sessions per week

  • Potential Golden Hello payment through NHS Grampian for eligible candidates, subject to scheme criteria and approval.
