Commercial Director

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager / Commercial Director to take full responsibility for the commercial performance of an established division with an annual turnover of approximately £40 million.

This is a senior leadership position, managing a team of 5 Quantity Surveyors, with responsibility for commercial strategy, financial performance, profitability and risk management across the division.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of 5 Quantity Surveyors.
• Oversee the commercial performance of a £40m turnover division.
• Drive profitability, cost control and commercial efficiency.
• Manage commercial reporting, forecasting, budgets and cash flow.
• Oversee contractual matters, commercial risks and dispute resolution.
• Work closely with senior management to achieve divisional financial targets.
• Provide commercial leadership, guidance and development to the QS team.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience in a senior commercial management role within construction.
• Essential: Previous responsibility for the commercial performance of a division, department or substantial portfolio of projects.
• Demonstrable experience managing and developing a team of Quantity Surveyors.
• Strong commercial, contractual and financial management expertise.
• Experience overseeing significant annual turnover, ideally £30m-£50m+.
• Strong leadership, communication and decision-making skills.

Salary & Benefits

• Base Salary: £100,000+ depending on experience.
• Flexible Benefits Allowance: £10,000 per annum, which can be allocated towards a car allowance, private healthcare or other benefits.
• Pension: 3% employer contribution.
