You will run the UK finance function day to day, reporting to the Group Financial Controller with a dotted line to the UK Managing Director, and play a real part in driving profitable growth.The role
* Own the monthly close and produce the UK management accounts* Lead statutory reporting, the external audit, VAT, corporation tax and packaging compliance (Plastic Packaging Tax and EPR)* Drive budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting* Own product costing, stock accounting and cost allocation* Partner with sales, operations and the management team on pricing, customer profitability, business cases and investment decisions* Manage cash flow, working capital and credit control* Oversee AP and AR, and support payroll, IT and fleet activities* Lead and develop one direct report* Drive process and systems improvements across financeAbout you
* 5+ years in finance within an operational business: manufacturing, FMCG, distribution, logistics or similar* Qualified (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) or qualified by experience* A true all-rounder, comfortable owning the numbers end to end in a small, multi-site environment* Commercially minded, confident working with non-finance colleagues and happy to challenge the status quo* Experience of product costing and stock would be a real advantage* Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Power BI experience is desirable but not essentialWhy apply
