Do you enjoy solving problems, coordinating drivers and making sure deliveries run to plan?PVC Building Supplies Ltd is looking for a Transport Planner to join its busy Operations team in Tonbridge.This is a hands-on role for someone who understands the challenges of delivery operations and can keep things moving, even when plans change at the last minute.The roleAs our Transport Planner, you’ll be responsible for planning and adjusting delivery routes using MaxOptra software, working closely with drivers and the wider operations team.Your responsibilities will include:Planning and optimising delivery routes to improve efficiencyCoordinating with drivers and dispatch teamsResponding to delays, route changes and unexpected delivery issuesUpdating routing systems and maintaining accurate recordsMonitoring delivery performance and identifying improvementsSupporting warehouse operations, including occasional picking, packing and van loadingWhat we’re looking forWe’re particularly interested in candidates who have:Previous experience in transport planning, delivery scheduling, dispatch or a similar logistics roleExperience coordinating deliveries or working with driversGood IT skills and confidence using planning systemsStrong organisational skills and attention to detailThe ability to make decisions and solve problems under pressureA practical, team-focused attitudeExperience using MaxOptra or similar route-planning software would be a bonus.Important: This is an on-site position in Tonbridge.
