They are part of a global group with multiple sites in the UK, this is their biggest factory employing over 500 people. They are looking for an experienced Senior Controls Engineer, to develop and maintain all site controls, automation and electrical infrastructure.Role & Responsibilities as the Senior Controls Engineer:Managing a small team of shift controls engineers – development plans, objectives, trainingResponsible for all matters relating to electrical standards and control systemsBe the Site Electrical Duty Holder – understanding electrical safety, legislation & complianceDesign, specification and purchasing of electrical equipmentPLC – programming, upgrades, modifications, documentationProject management – installation, commissioning, development, programming, upgradesSCADA Systems, HMI’s, Network SystemsMonitor and track performance of controls equipment against continuous improvement activitiesKnowledge, Skills & Experience needed to be the Senior Controls Engineer:Must have worked in an FMCG / Food manufacturing environmentBe an experienced electrical / control expert – 10+ yearsPLC – programmer – ideally Mitsubishi & Allen-BradleyPrior experience of being a Site Electrical Duty HolderKnowledge of electrical legislation, regulations, permits to work, isolation proceduresProject management experience – design, upgrades, specification, programming, installationsProactive person, strong problem solver and sound decision-making skillsIdeally have previously led a small team of controls engineersKnowledge of SCADA systems, HMI’s & Network SystemsIf you do not get a response back on your application within 24-48 hours please presume you are unsuccessful.Code: INDENMIf you’re looking for your next challenge, click the link below to apply or email your CV to
