Maternity CoverJoin the ICare GroupICare Group is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Administrator / Sales Ledger Clerk to join our Finance Team on a maternity cover contract.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in finance administration, sales ledger, invoicing, or credit control who enjoys working with numbers, maintaining accurate records, and providing outstanding internal and external customer service.As a key member of our Finance Team, you will help ensure the smooth running of our billing and credit control functions, supporting multiple companies across the ICare Group.
About the RoleReporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the sales ledger and credit control processes.Key ResponsibilitiesPreparing, validating and submitting weekly and monthly invoicesProcessing invoices for local authorities, private customers and other stakeholdersUploading invoices and claims to customer portalsMaintaining accurate sales ledger records using Sage and other finance systemsAllocating customer payments and remittancesInvestigating underpayments, missing payments and invoice discrepanciesProducing and managing aged debt reportsChasing outstanding payments and providing updates to managementProcessing Direct Debit instructions and BACS paymentsLiaising with commissioners, customers and operational teams regarding invoice queriesSupporting cash flow reporting and wider finance administrationCarrying out weekly banking activitiesAssisting with departmental cover during annual leave and sicknessSupporting continuous improvement of billing, reporting and credit control processesUndertaking additional administrative duties as required
What We’re Looking ForEssentialPrevious experience in Sales Ledger, Credit Control, Finance Administration or Accounts AdministrationStrong Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet skillsExperience using financial/accounting softwareHigh level of numerical accuracy and attention to detailExcellent organisational and time management skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and use initiativeGCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)Fully checkable employment historyEnhanced DBS clearance or willingness to obtain oneDesirableExperience using Sage AccountsExperience within a care, healthcare or social care environmentFinance, administration or accountancy qualificationsExperience using invoicing portals and contract billing systems
