Quantity Surveyor – Commercial Fit Out
We are working with an established commercial fit-out contractor based in Surrey, who are looking to strengthen their commercial team with an experienced Quantity Surveyor.The business delivers fast-track commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects across London and the surrounding areas, working across a range of high-quality commercial environments.This is a great opportunity for a QS who enjoys working in a fast-paced fit-out environment and wants genuine responsibility across projects from procurement through to final account.The Role
As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of projects, working closely with the project and site teams to ensure they are delivered successfully and profitably.Your responsibilities will include:Managing the commercial aspects of commercial fit-out projectsProcurement and management of subcontract packagesPreparing and reviewing valuations and applications for paymentManaging variations, valuations and change controlProducing CVRs, forecasts and cost reportsMonitoring project costs and commercial performanceManaging subcontractor accounts and paymentsPreparing and agreeing final accountsWorking closely with Project Managers, Contracts Managers and site teamsSupporting projects through pre-construction, procurement and deliveryMaintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers
About You
We are looking for a commercially minded Quantity Surveyor with:Previous experience within commercial fit out / refurbishmentStrong experience working on fast-track fit-out projectsExperience managing projects from procurement through to final accountStrong subcontractor procurement and commercial management experienceGood understanding of valuations, variations, CVRs and cost reportingStrong contract and commercial awarenessExcellent communication and negotiation skillsThe ability to work to tight programmes and deadlinesA proactive approach and the confidence to take ownership of projects
