Treasury Manager

The Opportunity

Nigel Wright are supporting a well-established and high-performing organisation in Leeds to recruit a Treasury Manager as part of continued investment and transformation within its finance function.

This is a broad, hands-on treasury opportunity requiring a strong combination of cash management, funding expertise and people leadership. The successful candidate will lead an established team while taking ownership of a high-volume cash and funding operation.

The Role

• Leading and developing a high performing team
• Taking ownership of cash management, cash allocation and bank reconciliations
• Overseeing funding schedules, drawdowns and associated treasury activity
• Managing relationships and operational activity with external banking and funding partners
• Ensuring accurate allocation and reconciliation of funding and maintaining robust financial controls
• Providing clear cash and funding reporting to senior Finance stakeholders
• Managing operational KPIs, service levels, risks, exceptions and escalations
• Driving automation, standardisation and continuous improvement across treasury and cash processes
• Developing team capability through coaching, cross-skilling and succession planning
• Supporting continued systems and technology-led change within Finance

The Person

• Strong experience across treasury, cash management, funding or banking operations
• A detailed understanding of cash allocation, reconciliations, banking transactions and financial controls
• Proven experience leading a sizeable finance, treasury, transactional or shared-services team
• Experience working with external banking or funding partners
• The ability to manage high-volume activity while maintaining strong controls and accuracy
• Experience managing KPIs and service levels
• A track record of delivering process improvement, automation or operational change
• Strong stakeholder-management skills and the confidence to work with senior Finance colleagues
