Press Setter Operator

The Role

IRS Group are currently recruiting for The Role of Press Setter / Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating press machinery to produce high-quality components to specification. Previous experience in a similar manufacturing or press work environment is essential.

Daily Duties

• Setting and operating press machinery safely and efficiently
• Setting up tooling and adjusting machinery for production runs
• Reading and working from engineering drawings and specifications
• Checking finished components to ensure they meet quality standards
• Carrying out routine quality checks during production
• Using measuring equipment where required
• Identifying and reporting any quality or machinery issues
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
• Following all company health & safety and production procedures
• Meeting daily production targets and deadlines
• Completing basic production records and paperwork

About You

• Previous press setting/operating experience is essential
• Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Able to read and understand technical/engineering drawings
• Good attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety
• Willing to learn and develop within the role

What’s on Offer

• Monday to Friday
• 8:00am – 4:30pm
