Project Quantity Surveyor – Central London

A contractor is looking for a Project Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial delivery of a Zone 1 scheme valued at up to £15m.

The project involves structural modification, underpinning, construction of a new core and a vertical extension to the rear block. It is an opportunity for a QS who wants ownership of a technically interesting project, with support from the Divisional Commercial Director.

The Role

• Taking day-to-day commercial responsibility for the project
• Procuring and managing subcontract packages
• Managing valuations, variations and change control
• Producing cost reports, forecasts and cash flow updates
• Managing subcontractor payments and final accounts
• Working with the site and design teams to manage commercial risk

What They Are Looking For

• A QS who has led the commercial delivery of a project or is ready to step into that responsibility
• Main contractor experience on refurbishment, structural alterations or other complex building projects
• Strong procurement, subcontract management and cost reporting skills
• A practical, organised approach and confidence dealing with project stakeholders

Salary & Package

£65,000-£80,000 base salary, depending on experience, plus package. The salary bracket is indicative and subject to confirmation.
