Description
We are hiring for our client in Belfast, seeking a Management Accountant for a newly created position.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will prepare management accounts, analyse financial performance and support budgeting and forecasting. This Management Accountant role also includes billing responsibilities and providing cover across the wider finance team, offering variety alongside your core reporting duties.

The Role
Prepare management accounts, variance analysis and departmental reports.
Produce regular financial information and explain performance to non-financial colleagues.
Support budgeting, forecasting and additional financial analysis.
Manage allocated billing activity, ensuring invoices are accurate and issued promptly.
Prepare journals, reconciliations and accounting postings.
Support payroll preparation, pension contributions, PAYE and VAT submissions as required.
Provide cover across accounts and credit control during absences and busy periods.
Maintain audit documentation, support financial controls and contribute to process improvements.
The Person
Fully qualified accountant – ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
Experience preparing management accounts, financial reports and analysis.
Advanced Excel skills and experience using finance systems.
Able to explain financial information clearly to colleagues outside finance.
Accurate, organised and comfortable managing competing deadlines.
Willing to support billing and wider operational finance duties.
Exposure to billing, credit control, payroll or VAT would be advantageous.
