Gray & Adams (Ireland) Ltd is currently seeking Service Operatives to join its Newtownabbey workshop team. The overall purpose of the job is to service and maintain refrigerated trailers and bodies in accordance with company standards and procedures. Key Job Requirements :
- Undertake servicing and maintenance work on commercial trailers and tail-lifts in accordance with company standards and procedures.
- Delivering high-quality workmanship with attention to detail.
- Maintaining good housekeeping and adhering to company Health and Safety policies.
- Achieving and maintaining proficiency in all aspects of trailer and tail lift servicing as per company procedures.
Essential Skills:
The successful applicant must:
- Mechanically knowledgeable and proficient in hands-on working.
- Ability to complete work within required deadlines and allocated hours.
- Possess the basic knowledge of the principles of Health & Safety within a working environment.
Desirable Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications:
Preference may be given to those applicants who have:
- City & Guilds Craft Certificate / completed NVQ 3 in Engineering.
- Manufacturer certificate to service commercial vehicle / trailer suspensions.
- Knowledge of commercial trailers / tail-lifts.
Note: Full training will be provided, therefore those who possess more basic technical skills are also welcome to apply if they can demonstrate a willingness to learn and a positive attitude.
