Management Accountant

Black Fox Solutions are delighted to be working with a family run specialist industrial flooring contractor with a focus on providing quality client driven flooring installations all across the UK and Europe.

They seeking an experienced, motivated Management Accountant to join our growing finance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments.
• Assist with the preparation and monitoring of group cashflow forecasts and working capital requirements.
• Prepare monthly board reporting packs, including financial analysis and commentary.
• Develop and monitor financial and operational KPIs.
• Review project profitability, job costing, WIP and margin performance.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts and variances, highlighting areas of concern.
• Prepare and assist with UK, Irish and European VAT returns and related reporting.
• Maintain intercompany reconciliations and support group financial reporting.
• Assist with annual budgets, year-end accounts and external audit requirements.
• Work closely with operational and commercial teams to ensure accurate financial information.
• Support the ongoing improvement of financial processes, controls and reporting systems.

Essential Criteria

• Qualified/Part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) or qualified by experience.
• Previous experience preparing management accounts.
• Strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Experience with cashflow forecasting, budgeting and financial analysis.

Desirable Criteria

• Experience within construction, contracting or a project-based business.
• Knowledge of job costing and WIP reporting.
• Experience with group accounting and VAT reporting.
