Nursery Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced and dedicated Nursery Manager to join a well-established nursery based in Chingford, Greater London. This role is also the perfect oppertuntiy for a hands on Deputy Manager looking for the next step up.

Person Specification:

• Level 3 Childcare qualification or above
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Desirable)
• Paediatric First Aid (Desirable)

Some of the Nursery Manager responsibilities will include:

• Leading by example and managing day to day nursery operations
• Working closely with the area managing KPI’s
• Building positive relationships with parents and key interfacing groups
• Developing a staff team, managing recruitment, induction, ongoing supervisions, conducting regular staff assessments, identifying and sourcing training needs
• Supervision of the planning and preparation of activities in line with EYFS to develop all aspects of the child’s individual learning and development
• Ensuring staff understand and adhere to all nursery policy and procedures
• Managing budgets and keep accurate records of staffing, payroll, banking, petty cash, issuing invoices and fee collection
• Managing Staff Rotas and meetings
• Maintaining accurate records to include accident, incident, medication, registers and risk assessment
• Marketing the nursery, arranging leaflet drops, open days etc
• To ensure the nursery is running to its full capacity by effectively managing inquiries, conducting show-rounds, operating a waiting list, as appropriate
• To attend out of working hours’ activities, to include training, staff meetings, parents’ evenings and special events
• Working 40 Hours per week
