Sponne is an excellent community comprehensive school with some 1412 students aged 11-18 on roll with 167
staff. The school is part of Tove Learning Trust, comprising of fifteen academies across Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire and the West Midlands. Sponne School also has a training school and the Grand Union Training Partnership on site.
Do you have experience working with young people, have a compassionate nature and a desire to make a positive impact in education? We are seeking a dedicated Student Support Officer to work closely with the Head of Year and other staff to support the behaviour, attendance, wellbeing and personal development of students within a specified year group, ensuring all students receive the guidance they need to thrive academically, socially and emotionally. The successful candidate will play a key part in fostering a positive school environment, addressing barriers to learning to help students reach their full potential.
The successful candidate will:
- Provide day to day support and resilience to the Head of Year
- Be passionate in supporting the learning of students’
- Be an excellent communicator
- Be required to apply for a DBS disclosure and be eligible to live and work in the UK
