Job Description Rating Analyst (Brookfield Capital Solutions)
Responsibilities:
- Perform credit analysis and assign and maintain internal ratings across multiple asset classes to support regulatory requirements and ongoing surveillance.
- Maintain rating methodologies and models by asset class, with clear documentation and audit trail.
- Run rating-focused stress tests and scenario analyses to assess downgrade risk and portfolio resilience.
- Coordinate with Portfolio Management, Investments, Compliance/Legal, Operations, and external managers on process alignment and methodology rollout.
- Manage credit risk data and reporting, including ad hoc stakeholder requests.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Degree in finance, accounting, or a related field;
- CPA or CFA progress is an asset.
- 2-3 years of credit rating experience at a rating agency, insurer, or other financial institution.
- Insurance sector experience and familiarity with insurance reporting is an asset.
- Strong judgment, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and oral communication; collaborative at all levels.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure.
