Senior Finance Business Partner (FP&A, Overheads)
Nottingham, hybrid (2 days in the office) | £75,000–£85,000 + 10% bonus
Headcount plans, tech roadmaps and marketing campaigns all end up as numbers in the same place. This role decides what those numbers mean.
You’ll be joining an international, PE-backed technology business that’s genuinely flying, with double-digit growth year on year and a lot of investment going back into the business. For the right person this is a proper step up: a bigger remit, real visibility with the exec team, and clear room to progress as the finance function grows alongside the business.
You’ll own a significant part of the Group’s cost base, across People, Technology and Marketing, and be the lead finance partner to the senior leaders who run those areas. You’ll report to the Head of FP&A and run the budgets and forecasts for your areas. Each month you’ll give the exec team commentary on how costs are tracking. When investment or efficiency decisions come up, you’ll be the one modelling the options and asking the useful questions.
You’ll also manage a Finance Analyst, which frees you up to focus on the partnering. There’s plenty of scope to shape how cost is reported, through Power BI, better KPIs and automating the repetitive parts.
The team is collaborative and down to earth, and the package reflects how they look after people. You’ll get 27 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, your birthday off, wellbeing and volunteering days, a healthcare cash plan and a 5% employer pension, as well as the salary and bonus.
The must-have is real exposure to cost or overhead reporting and budgeting, plus some experience managing or guiding at least one person. A tech or SaaS background would be ideal.
If you’re coming from fintech, financial services or a wider services business, it’s still well worth a conversation. CIMA, ACCA or Power BI experience would help.
