Location: Central London
Reporting to: Operations Director
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to oversee a portfolio of resident-site hard services contracts, with a particular focus on HVAC maintenance. The successful candidate will manage approximately 4-5 contracts with a combined annual value of around £4 million, ensuring high standards of service delivery, client satisfaction, compliance, and operational performance.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong facilities management professional who has experience managing engineering maintenance contracts and building strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of resident-site hard services contracts, valued at approximately £4m annually.
- Lead the delivery of HVAC maintenance services across multiple client sites.
- Act as the primary point of contact for key client stakeholders, developing and maintaining strong working relationships.
- Ensure all contractual obligations, service level agreements (SLAs), and compliance requirements are achieved.
- Oversee operational teams, including site managers, supervisors, engineers, and specialist subcontractors.
- Drive service excellence, ensuring safe, compliant, and effective maintenance delivery.
- Monitor contract performance through KPIs and reporting processes.
- Support financial management of contracts, including budgets, forecasting, and P&L accountability.
- Identify opportunities for service improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Ensure all statutory, health & safety, and technical compliance requirements are met.
- Support contract renewals, client retention, and organic growth opportunities within the existing portfolio.
Candidate Requirements
- Significant experience managing hard services or engineering maintenance contracts within a facilities management environment.
- Strong background in HVAC maintenance contract delivery.
- Technical qualification in either:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Demonstrable experience managing client relationships and operational teams.
- Sound understanding of health & safety legislation and technical compliance requirements.
- Experience overseeing contract budgets and basic P&L responsibility.
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing resident-site engineering teams.
- Knowledge of wider building services maintenance disciplines.
- Relevant professional memberships or additional FM/engineering qualifications.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will be a technically credible Account Manager who can confidently engage with both engineering teams and clients. While an understanding of commercial performance and P&L management is important, we are primarily seeking someone with a strong operational and technical background rather than a highly commercial profile.
Please note
Candidates must hold a recognised electrical or mechanical qualification and be able to successfully complete the client’s technical assessment as part of the recruitment process.
