Development Management & Enforcement Manager

This is a management post leading the Development Management and Planning Enforcement sections within the Planning and Growth Directorate at South Kesteven District Council. The role sets the council’s policies for how development is implemented and gives professional direction to how those services are commissioned and delivered. It sits at the centre of the council’s corporate priorities, including new housing and town centre regeneration. The post is politically restricted.

What the job involves

• Lead and manage the Development Management and Planning Enforcement sections of the Planning and Growth Directorate
• Put in place robust development implementation policies for the Council
• Provide professional leadership for the commissioning and delivery of Development Management and Planning Enforcement services
• Ensure those services are high quality, efficient and focused on customers
• Contribute to delivery of the Council’s strategic corporate priorities, including growth and regeneration
